Veritas alarm won’t set

If the unset / power light is flashing (once a second) on your Veritas alarm, and the alarm won’t set then this means you have a power issue; either you’ve had a power cut or a power surge that has blown the fuse protecting the alarm.  A flashing light could could also indicate the panel backup battery is low.

To remedy this situation, try the steps below. N.B. When the fault is rectified the green light will be on constantly.

    1. Check your main consumer unit. Make sure all the trip switches are on
    2. Replace the 3A fuse protecting the panel.

If checking these two things hasn’t helped, then it may be that an internal fuse in your Veritas alarm panel that has blown OR the back-up battery in your alarm panel needs to be replaced.

OR

N.B. in this instance, you can still set the alarm by omitting this fault.  To to do this you need to OMIT ZONE 0 as follows:

[YOUR USER CODE] + [OMIT] + [0] + [PROG]
