Video door entry systems are relatively simple pieces of equipment to install, based generally around x3 pieces of equipment:

• Video Door intercom system
• Screen (with door release button)
• Door release mechanism: this may be something like a ‘Maglock’ or a ‘Yale door release’

For the installation all you’re doing is connecting the door intercom to the screen and the screen (with door release button) to the door release mechanism – meaning that you can see who’s at the door and then press a button to release the lock on the door.

Depending on which way the door opens, will depend on how to install the maglock (magnetic lock) – and also whether you need a Z bracket or not.
